Innovative, Inspired Chinese Cuisine with Greenmarket Sensibility

RedFarm London is open at 9 Russell Street in Covent Garden. This new destination from dim sum master chef Joe Ng and Chinese food expert Ed Schoenfeld aims to be one of the most exciting and influential restaurants in the city, already making The Times Top 100 UK restaurants. RedFarm brings a greenmarket sensibility to modern and inventive Chinese food and super-charged dim sum complemented by modern, rustic décor.

Joe Ng’s menu takes a clean, fresh approach to Chinese food. Signature items include clever dim sum creations for which Ng is known and small plates: Pac Man dumplings; Shrimp-stuffed Crispy Chicken; mushroom spring rolls that evoke a chanterelle mushroom; and BBQ'd Pork Belly Sliders. Modern takes on classic main dishes includes remarkably tender marinated rib steak with steamed baby bok choy and spicy steamed sea bass.

The restaurant, situated next to Covent Garden’s Balthazar, will feature the modern rustic decor of New York and is spread across three floors. The ninety-six seat restaurant interiors have been carefully considered and embody a casual and cool dining experience, similar to its US counterpart, with exposed white brick walls, light wooden floors and furniture throughout. Long communal tables sit across each floor, allowing for tables of up to 26, along with more intimate booths and seating at the bar.
